You know how there are birds that can mimic other creatures and human speech. Well what if in ancient times there was a giant intelligent bird that could do that? And what if it lured creatures into a trap and ate them? What if it's favorite creature to eat was humans? It enjoyed smelling and seeing the fear on their faces before eating them. I had an idea a few days ago. It's been stuck in my head. I've been slowly building upon it. This will have multiple parts. I've already got some sketches I'll be posting those later. ----- Details about the bird ----- (The name might get changed later) NAME: Grate Shrieking bird, shrieker, or Shriek bird. HEIGHT: it's 13ft-18ft tall (396.24 cm-548.64 cm) [sorry if wrong cm calculated by using Google] ABILITYS: Can read desires and memories with strong emotional value attached to them by creating a high-pitched shriek that humans can't hear. If the bird is powerful enough or has a strong bond with the person Can read all Memories And desires. Can use magic to create hallucinations with its antennas. Can see vary far with infrared sense by using it's antennas. LIVES: It digs a hole for it's nest. And over time digs a giant crater around its nest that's kind of like a pitfall so it's pretty can't easily run away. TEMPERAMENT: depending on the type ranges from Gentle, calm, mild, wild, and aggressive. PERSONALITY: Very territorial except the Water shriek. Overprotective except water shriek. (ALL) ATTACK: sits in its nest then berries itself. Then using a high-pitched shriek that no one can hear reads your desires or memories with strong emotional value of its victims. Then mimics The Voice or sound of that memory if it has one. Uses its antennas to create a hallucination of your memory or desire. Lures its prey to its nest then surprise attacks. Will attack with either beak or talons. (Except water shriek) if needed Will use its wings or tail feathers to knock down or fan dirt in the eye. All can headbutt, some like doing it more than others though. Some are smart enough to build fall traps and lead their victims into the trap. If strong enough Can cause aggressive hallucinations that can break the mind of the victim. EATS: meat and fruit but mostly meat! TYPES[so far]: forest, mountain, Tundra, desert, volcano, water.
